A few quick tips to help you get accurate measurements
and the perfect fit.
Use a metal tape measure
Fabric or plastic tapes can stretch and give inaccurate measurements.
Measure in millimetres (mm)
All our blinds are made to the nearest millimetre for the perfect fit.
Do not rely on old blind measurements
Even small changes to your window can affect the perfect fit.
Double-check all measurements
Always measure twice to ensure accuracy before placing your order.

- BEFORE YOU START
What you need – tape measure, bank/credit card, pen and paper
Take all measurements from inside your property, looking out of the window. Your uPVC window or door will need a 25mm clearance around the glass for Easy123Blinds, including space for vents and handles. Exclude rubber beading or seals from any measurements.
You should measure from the beading to the beading.
- STEP 1
Measure the width
Measure only the visible part of the glass pane for your Easy123Blinds; do not include any rubber beading around the edge of the glass. We typically recommend taking this measurement along the bottom of the pane to ensure maximum accuracy.
Note down your final width measurement in mm.
- STEP 2
Measure the height
Measure only the visible part of the glass pane for your Easy123Blinds; do not include any rubber beading around the edge of the glass. We typically recommend taking this measurement along the side of the pane to ensure an accurate, level measurement.
Note down your final height measurement in mm.
- STEP 3
Measure the bead depth
This is the distance between the pane of glass and the front of your window frame. It is a vital measurement to ensure the Easy123Blinds clips fit securely.
The easiest way to do this is to place a bank or credit card flat against the window frame (preferably across a corner) and then measure the depth from the glass to the card.
For a perfect fit, this should be between 18-30mm. If your measurement falls between sizes, please round up. Note down this final depth.

What is the difference between a Recess Fit and an Exact Fit?
What is the difference between a Recess Fit and an Exact Fit? A Recess Fit sits inside the window recess, while an Exact Fit is fitted outside the recess and covers a larger area. The EASY123Blinds measuring guide will help you choose the right option.
