A few quick tips to help you get accurate measurements
and the perfect fit.
Use a metal tape measure
Fabric or plastic tapes can stretch and give inaccurate measurements.
Measure in millimetres (mm)
All our blinds are made to the nearest millimetre for the perfect fit.
Do not rely on old blind measurements
Even small changes to your window can affect the perfect fit.
Double-check all measurements
Always measure twice to ensure accuracy before placing your order.
STEP-BY-STEP MEASUREMENT
Follow these simple steps

Measure Your Window
Measure the width of your window recess from one side to the other. For the best appearance and maximum light control, we recommend adding at least 150mm (15cm) to each side of the recess. This allows your curtains to stack neatly away from the window when open.

Choose Your Pole or Rail Length
To calculate the ideal pole or rail length, take your window recess width and add 300mm (30cm).
Example:
Window recess width: 1200mm
Recommended pole or rail length: 1500mm

Choose the Correct Pole Diameter
When selecting a curtain pole, consider the weight of your curtains. Heavier curtains, particularly those with thermal or blackout linings, may require a larger diameter pole for additional strength and support. Curtains with pencil pleat headings are also typically heavier than eyelet curtains due to the extra fabric used.

Consider Your Fitting Position
Before ordering, check that there is enough space above and to the sides of your window for the brackets. Also consider nearby walls, ceilings, light fittings or other obstructions that could affect the installation or operation of your curtains.

Place Your Order
Double-check your measurements before placing your order and select the poleel length that best suits your window.
