Before you start measuring
A few quick tips to help you get accurate measurements
and the perfect fit.
Use a metal tape measure
Fabric or plastic tapes can stretch and give inaccurate measurements.
Measure in millimetres (mm)
All our blinds are made to the nearest millimetre for the perfect fit.
Do not rely on old blind measurements
Even small changes to your window can affect the perfect fit.
Double-check all measurements
Always measure twice to ensure accuracy before placing your order.
STEP-BY-STEP MEASUREMENT
Follow these simple steps

Choose Your Fit
Decide whether your Day & Night Blind will be fitted inside the window recess (Recess Fit) or outside the recess (Exact Fit). Recess fitting provides a neat, built-in appearance. For an Exact Fit, we recommend adding at least 50mm to each side of the recess for maximum coverage and reduced light gaps.

Measure the Width
For a Recess Fit, measure the width of the window recess in three places: top, middle and bottom. Use the smallest measurement. Do not make any deductions—our factory will make the necessary allowances during manufacture.
Please note, the fabric will typically be 45–55mm narrower than the size ordered to allow for the operating mechanism and brackets. This is standard for Day & Night blinds.
For an Exact Fit, measure the full width you would like the blind to cover, including the recommended additional 50mm on each side where possible.

Measure the Drop
For a Recess Fit, measure the drop of the window recess in three places: left, centre and right. Use the smallest measurement. Do not make any deductions—we’ll make the necessary allowances during manufacture.
For an Exact Fit, measure the full drop you would like the blind to cover, allowing extra coverage above and below the recess where required.

Check the Recess Depth
Before ordering, ensure your window recess is deep enough for your blind. For a Classic Day & Night Blind, we recommend a minimum recess depth of 60mm for a flush fit. This applies to our Classic Day & Night Blind only. Upgraded options, including cassettes and premium headrail styles, may require a greater recess depth. Please speak to our Sales Team if you require further guidance.
Also check for window handles, trickle vents or any other obstructions that could affect the operation of the blind.

Place Your Order
Double-check your measurements before placing your order and enter them exactly as measured.
Please note: As all blinds are made to measure, a manufacturing tolerance of +/- 5mm applies. This is standard across the window blind industry and ensures your blind is manufactured within acceptable production tolerances.
