Are Faux Wood Blinds water-resistant and suitable for bathrooms?
Our Faux Wood Blinds are made from durable PVC, making them splash-resistant and suitable for bathrooms, kitchens and other moisture-prone rooms. Unlike real wood, they will not warp, crack or swell when exposed to normal levels of moisture.
What is the difference between strings and decorative tapes?
The difference is mainly appearance. Strings provide a traditional finish, with ladder cords visible between the slats. Decorative tapes cover the ladder cords with matching fabric tapes, creating a more contemporary look. Both options operate in the same way.
Which side are the controls on?
Our Faux Wood Blinds are supplied with the raise-and-lower cord on the right-hand side and the tilt control on the left-hand side. This is the standard manufacturing configuration.
Can I fit my blind inside or outside the window recess?
Yes. Choose Recess Fit for installation inside the window recess or Exact Fit to cover the recess from the outside. For a fully recessed installation, we recommend a minimum recess depth of approximately 65–70mm.
What brackets and fittings are included?
Your blind will arrive made to your measurements with universal brackets, the required fittings and fitting instructions. The universal brackets allow the blind to be top-fixed or face-fixed, giving you flexibility during installation.
Are Faux Wood Blinds easy to clean?
Yes. Simply dust the slats regularly or wipe them with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these could damage the surface finish.
