What is the difference between a Recess Fit and an Exact Fit?
A Recess Fit sits inside the window recess, while an Exact Fit is installed outside the recess for greater window coverage and fewer light gaps. For a Recess Fit, enter the full recess measurements without making any deductions—we will make the necessary manufacturing allowance.
Why is my Recess Fit blind narrower than the measurements entered?
We make a deduction from the fabric width so the blind and its brackets fit and operate correctly inside the recess. This means the fabric will be narrower than the recess and there will be small gaps at the sides.
What is the difference between an open and closed cassette?
An open cassette leaves the roller tube visible for a simple, modern finish. A closed cassette encloses the roller tube inside an aluminium casing, creating a neater, more premium appearance. Both options operate in the same way.
Are Roller Blinds easy to install?
Yes. Your blind includes universal brackets that can be top-fixed or face-fixed, along with the required fittings and instructions. For an even easier installation without drilling, selected Roller Blinds can be upgraded to our EASY No-Drill mechanism.
What is the difference between blackout and dimout fabric?
Dimout fabric provides privacy while allowing some natural light to filter into the room. Blackout fabric blocks significantly more light for a darker room, although small amounts of light may still enter around the edges of the blind.
Are Roller Blinds suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?
Many Roller Blind fabrics are suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and other humid rooms. Check the individual fabric information before ordering and avoid placing the blind where it will come into direct contact with water. Clean it by dusting regularly or gently wiping suitable fabrics with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
