What is the difference between a Recess Fit and an Exact Fit?
A Recess Fit sits neatly inside your window recess, while an Exact Fit is installed outside the recess to provide greater window coverage and help reduce light gaps.
If you're unsure which option is best, our measuring guide will help you choose.
Can Roman Blinds be top fixed or face fixed?
Yes.
All of our Roman Blinds are supplied with universal brackets, allowing them to be installed as either:
Top Fix – Inside the window recess.
Face Fix – Outside the recess onto the wall or window frame.
This gives you flexibility during installation.
Is light bleed through the stitching normal?
Yes.
If you've selected Blackout Lining, you may notice small pinholes of light where the stitching passes through the fabric. This is a normal part of the manufacturing process and isn't considered a fault.
If reducing light is important, we recommend choosing Blackout Lining, as it provides the best overall light reduction despite these small stitch holes.
Are Roman Blinds easy to install?
Yes.
Each Roman Blind is supplied with all the required brackets and easy-to-follow fitting instructions, making installation straightforward for most DIY enthusiasts.
Can I upgrade to a No Drill Roman Blind?
Yes.
Many of our Roman Blind fabrics are also available with our No Drill system.
It's a great option if you'd prefer not to drill into your walls or window frames, making installation quicker, cleaner and ideal for uPVC windows.
Are Roman Blinds suitable for every room?
Roman Blinds are a fantastic choice for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and home offices, adding warmth and a soft fabric finish.
For bathrooms or rooms with high humidity, we recommend choosing one of our waterproof blind ranges instead, as fabric Roman Blinds aren't designed for damp environments.
Are Roman Blinds easy to clean?
Regular dusting with a soft cloth or the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner will help keep your Roman Blind looking its best.
We recommend avoiding harsh cleaning products or soaking the fabric.
