Use a metal tape measure
Fabric or plastic tapes can stretch and give inaccurate measurements.
Measure in millimetres (mm)
All our blinds are made to the nearest millimetre for the perfect fit.
Do not rely on old blind measurements
Even small changes to your window can affect the perfect fit.
Double-check all measurements
Always measure twice to ensure accuracy before placing your order.
STEP-BY-STEP MEASUREMENT
Follow these simple steps

Identify Your Roof Window Brand
Our Roof Blinds are designed for Velux®, Fakro®, RoofLITE® and Dakstra® roof windows. Before ordering, check which brand of roof window you have.

Locate the Window Identification Plate
Open your roof window and locate the identification plate. This is usually found on the top edge of the sash when the window is opened. The plate contains the manufacturer, window size and model code required to manufacture your blind.

Find Your Window Code
Locate the full window code on the identification plate (for example, Velux GGL MK04, Fakro FTP-V P06 or RoofLITE TR04). There is no need to measure your window, as your blind will be manufactured specifically for your window code.

Choose Your Blind
Browse our available colours and fabrics to find the perfect blind for your room. Once you’ve chosen your preferred option, make a note of the colour and your window code ready to submit your enquiry.

Send Your Enquiry
Complete our enquiry form with your chosen colour and window code, and our team will prepare a personalised quotation for you.
Please note: As all blinds are made to measure, a manufacturing tolerance of +/- 5mm applies. This is standard across the window blind industry and ensures your blind is manufactured within acceptable production tolerances.

How do I know which measuring guide to use? Every product has its own measuring requirements, so make sure you’re using the right guide for the product you’re ordering. Simply select your product and we’ll show you the relevant measuring guide.

What measurements do I need to take? This depends on the product you’re ordering. Don’t worry though – our measuring guide will show you exactly what to measure and where to measure it. We recommend measuring twice to make sure everything is spot on before placing your order.
What if I'm not sure whether I've measured correctly?
What if I'm not sure whether I've measured correctly? No problem! If you’d like a second pair of eyes, just get in touch before placing your order. You can even send us photos or videos of your window via WhatsApp, and we’ll be happy to help make sure you’re measuring correctly. 
What happens if I make a mistake when measuring?
What happens if I make a mistake when measuring? Don’t worry! We offer an optional Mismeasurement Protection Service for extra peace of mind. It can be added at checkout and helps protect you if your measurements are incorrect. Terms and conditions apply.
